About the Iranian Federated Women's Club's achievements and events:
1.Adopt the Payvand cultural school on 1996. This school was established based on our belief that our children need to participate in a healthy community that fosters our Iranian culture, heritage, traditions, and language. In order to reach this goal, our children need to master the Farsi language. The "Payvand" school provides educational instructions in reading and writing in Farsi, traditional Iranian music, and dance. "Payvand" also provides an environment where our students can converse in their native language with their peers.
2.Sponsor the Iranian Arts and Cultural Event at the Cupertino Community Center and Foothill College was held on October 27, 1996. This event attracted approximately 3000 members of the Iranian/American community.
3.Sponsor "The Spring Celebration along the Silk Road" On March 2,1997 at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. This event attracted approximately 1000 members of the community.
4.Received the Proclamation from the Governor Wilson and Board of the Supervisor of the Santa Clara County on March 18, 1997, for Iranian Heritage day.
5.Iranian Federated Women's club and Payvand cultural school invited different groups from the community including performers from the Chinese community to participate and perform on " Roozeh Pedar "( a father's day celebration), It was held at the Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California on June15,1997.
6.Organizing Payvand's last participation in the "Heritage Show Case" on 4th of July 1997 at Memorial Park in Cupertino which attracted different ethnic groups of our community and was a great success.
7.Adopted two bells from the El Camino Bell project and placed them on El Camino Real in the city of Palo Alto. One of these bells was a joint project with the Historic Society of palo Alto. The dedication ceremony will be on March 21, 1998 at 10:00 A.M.
8.Organizing and helping the Payvand's first children's story book, My First Nowruz .This book was published on November 21, 1997.
9.the 1998 Iranian-American Scholarship Fundraising Gala held at the Cupertino Quinlan Community Center on Febrauary 28, 1998. This program consisted of Dinner, Fashion Show, Dance and Music. Many people from all around the Bay Area attended this event, including many highly respected community figures. this event was hosted by Dr. Anthony Shay.

11.Sponsored the Payvand TV program (Majaleh Payvand) May 1998.
12.Organized and helped the Payvand's second children's story. book, The Tale of Mehregan,. published on September 18, 1998.
13.Sponsored the second annual Iranian Arts and Cultural Event at the Cupertino Community Center on September 19 , 1998
14.sponsoring and supporting the relief group for new Iranian immigrants who have suffered the loss of a loved one, on December 19 , 1998.
15.the 1999 Second annual Iranian-American Fundraising Gala held at the Cupertino Quinlan Community Center on April 25, 1999. This program consisted of Dinner, Dance, Music, and presenting the new TV program to the community "Majaleh Payvand". Many people from all around the Bay Area attended this event, including many highly respected community figures. this event was hosted by Dr. Anthony Shay.
16.Sponsored the Iranian Arts and Cultural Event, this two-day festival took place on October 9 at the Civic Center Auditorium in San Jose CA, and on October 10, 1999 at the Cupertino Quinlan Community Center. in Cupertino CA.This event attracted approximately more tha1500 members of the Iranian/American community.
17.Sponsored the "creating the Hate Free community on January 27, 2000.
18.Received a Nowruz proclamation from the Board of the Supervisor of the Santa Clara County, March, 2000
19.Sponsored Nowruz celebration on March 24, 2000. It was a soldout event.
20.Sponsored Fourth Annual Iranian Arts and Cultural event on October 8, 2000.Attracted 2500 members of the community
21.The 2001 Third annual Iranian-American Fundraising Gala held at the Palo Alto Women's Club in Palo Alto on February 24, 2001. This program consisted of Dinner, Dance, Music. Many people from all around the Bay Area attended this event, including many highly respected community figures.

24.The tragic events of September 11,2001 brought a dark cloud of smoke and fear not only over New York City, but also over all the minor communities across the country. The Iranian-American Community programs, such as the Fifth Annual Iranian Arts and Cultural Event, scheduled for September 23 by the Payvand Organization and the Iranian Federated Women's Club, have been postponed as a security measure. ▪Benefit from belonging to a network of socially conscious, active women with roots in local communities and branches around the world. Local clubs focus on meeting specific needs in their communities through volunteer service projects. Working locally through thousands of clubs in the United States and globally in more than 20 countries, GFWC members support the arts, preserve natural resources, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, stress civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding. Clubs shape their local agendas to suit particular community needs. Each local chapter benefits from membership, service, material, and program support from state and national Federation levels. The Iranian Federated Women's Club (IFWC) (est. 1996) is a local, non-profit, nonpolitical, and non-religious organization whose mission is to integrate and empower the Iranian community, and to promote arts and culture by bringing educational services, scholarships, and cultural activities to Bay Area communities.
